Great Deal- : TowZone Complete Disc Brake Kit with Actuator
These are the re-branded version of the popular, and more expensive, Tie Down Engineering version (Model # escapes me...) Very level transmit to install. I replaced Oem drum brakes on a '91 Zieman trailer. I had to grind off the actuator and drill new holes but that was the most difficult part of the install. I also had to swap the bearings to fit my axles. I had never done this before but a local shop who sold me the bearings told me how to do it... Then I went-for-it... Let's say, 2nd one was much easier ;-) All in all very easy to do and all the parts are included, manuals are pretty level transmit and no extra tools beyond a torque wrench. I did mine with the boat on the trailer so it was tight working arrangement but placement of the caliper was not a question. all fit, bolts had lock-tite and all went together well. I did hear from the local guy that he had to redo a set that had too much play in the caliper but mine had nothing like this. In fact, I couldn't see where he would get such a gap that the pads wouldn't work... Hub were pre-lubed but you do need to pack the bearings and the covers before putting into service. Easy to do but may want to be sure you have axle grease before you get started. I did call tech reserve for some newbie ask and they were very helpful. Break in duration is about 50 miles of general but particular driving to break-in the pads and rotors. The reverse solenoid was pre-installed on mine and works great. To/Fr the lake post-install (350mi each way) and no problems, no temp issues and plentifulness of balanced stopping power. Hope this helps, Tom
